Directed by Ladd Wendelin and featuring live music and sounds by Lincoln musicians Seeded Plain, the cast includes Noelle Bohaty, Joshua Miller and Matthew Gee as a group of interplanetary explorers who become unexpectedly stranded on an uninhabited planet.
Somewhere, deep in the heart of outer space, inferno terra firma follows the adventures of three intrepid astronauts - LT. Aro (Noelle Bohaty), SGT. Gat (Matthew Gee), and M/T Tok (Joshua Miller) – who find themselves marooned on an uncharted planet. As the survivors eventually realize, their original mission to collect a precious mineral has drastically changed. Suspicions mount, allegiances shift, and the mysterious truth of the planet itself is revealed.
inferno terra firma was written by Lincoln resident and playwright Robert Stewart. Stewart has previously had plays produced under Rough Magic Productions (speed & a red interior, the mutants), at Concordia University in Seward and the Great Plains Theatre Festival in Omaha.
Wendelin has performed in over a dozen productions in Lincoln, including the regional premieres of Gilligan’s Island: The Musical, Forbidden Broadway and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. inferno terra firma marks the most recent collaboration between Stewart and Wendelin, having previously produced the 9-part episodic play ‘the living room.’ at the Tugboat Gallery in downtown Lincoln.
The 815 is one of Lincoln’s newest art spaces, co-curated by Todd Bumgarner and Cheech Sorilla. Located in the former Box Awesome, The 815 is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the works of artists and musicians of the city of Lincoln.
